What Is a Backyard Battle?
A Backyard Battle is a fully hosted foam dart party where we turn your backyard into a structured battle arena using blasters, safety goggles, darts, cones, music, and inflatable obstacles.

1.5 Hour Backyard Battle
Best for younger kids or shorter birthday parties.
- 45 minutes of gameplay
- 15 minute break for cake, food, or bathroom trips
- Final 30 minutes of gameplay
- Setup and cleanup included outside of gameplay time
2 Hour Backyard Battle
Best for bigger groups or high-energy kids who want more battle time.
- 1 hour of gameplay
- 20 minute break for cake, food, or bathroom trips
- Final 40 minutes of gameplay
- Setup and cleanup included outside of gameplay time
Player Count
Packages include up to 12 players. Additional players: $15 per player. Maximum: 25 players.

Book Your Battle
Choose your party date, package, and location.

We Arrive Early
Your Battle Host arrives about 45 minutes before the party to survey the backyard, set up the arena, load blasters, and prepare the games.

Safety Briefing
Before the battle begins, every player gets safety instructions and is fitted with goggles.

Game Time
Your host runs short, exciting games that keep the kids engaged and moving.

We Clean Up
When the battle is over, we handle all equipment breakdown and cleanup.
You would barely know a full-scale backyard battle just happened.
Is It Safe?
Yes — safety is built into every party.
Our hosts review the rules before gameplay, referee each battle, and make sure kids understand how to play safely.
Safety Rules
- Goggles must stay on during gameplay
- No aiming for the head
- Headshots do not count
- No close-range shots under 5 feet
- No diving or sliding
- No hitting with blasters
- Stop immediately when the referee blows the whistle
- Younger kids may play with “fast walking only” rules
Like any active backyard game, there are standard risks that come with running, dodging, and playing. Our job is to keep the games organized, supervised, and as safe as possible.
What Happens If It Rains?
Rain or Shine
Backyard Battles are designed for light rain or shine. A little mud on the battlefield never hurt anyone. If the backyard is still safe and playable, we will do our best to host the event outdoors.
For heavy rain or unsafe weather, we can move indoors if there is a suitable space available. Carpeted areas are preferred. Indoor battles require stricter rules, including no running, diving, or sliding.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancel at least 6 hours before party start time for a full refund.
- Cancel within 6 hours of party start time and receive a 75% refund.
- A 25% late cancellation fee is retained for staffing and time costs.
Service Area
Backyard Battles Boston serves Boston and surrounding communities.
Travel is included within our standard service area. Additional travel fees may apply for events farther outside Boston.
